The answer to your question is No! You would have to fire one(Once you extend a contract and switch the coaches position a coach will be fired automatically)and then resign him with the hope that nobody else picks him up! *Note to self, check coach search later*
Can position coaches be swapped "without" the chance of losing them? How does that work per se?
I have done this in the past, there seems to be a point in the season when you can do this, but not all the time...maybe JDB can shed some light on this, but yes definitely.
If you can offer a contract to both coaches just offer them the position you want them to coach.
Right, that's what I'm asking. I'm referring to existing coaches that are on my team already. I want to swap positions but don't want to take the chance of losing either.
Lets say you wanna swap QB coach to be OC and OC to be QB Coach. But the OC won,t accept being QB coach thats not in the option so you have to cut him and Hope nobody sign him ?
Let my start off by saying everyone above is full of ****. A few weeks ago I literally swapped every single coach on my staff. They never hit the open market, trust me from experience.

have you demoted a coach ? thats what I can't figure out who to do. I know you can swap positions coaches. but I can't figure out how to demote my OC to QB coach lets say

Same principle as players not accepting extensions for less money
